What is the MicroLaser Peel?
A MicroLaser Peel removes a thin layer of skin (the epidermis) to address surface level texture and pigmentation (i.e. pores, fine lines, sun spots). Much better than a Chemical Peel, it can more precisely target areas of concern. We offer three levels of MLP treatments; light, medium and heavy. How Long is the Downtime?
Downtime is minimal with skin being light pink to Red for 6 to 12 hours, longer if you have sensitive skin. It can be longer on a medium or heavy peel. Peeling can last up to a week. No sun for the first four days and limited sun exposure for 2 to 4 weeks after treatment.

How Long Will It Take to See Results?
Clients experience results very quickly. Within a week, there will be a glow to the skin, and results will continue to improve over the next 6 months. Because only the outer layer of skin is treated, you will notice an obvious improvement in tone, texture, and color evenness once the skin heals in approximately three to four days. You will see even more results over time as this treatments aids the growth of Collagen, and 75% of skin is comprised of Collagen and you lose 1% of your Collagen every year starting at around age 25.

How Do I Prepare for An MLP Treatment?
No heavy sun exposure within the 2 weeks before an MLP treatment on the area(s) treated. No retinol for 2 weeks before, darker skin tones and people with pigmentation issues may need to pre-treat for 4-6 weeks before. No direct sun exposure, meaning limited sun exposure for 2 to 4 weeks after treatment.

How Long Does an MLP Treatment Take?
Topical numbing is applied for about 30 minutes prior to the treatment. Depending on the size of the area being treated, the actual MLP treatment time usually lasts from 15 to 30 minutes and total treatment time can range from 45 to 60 minutes. Treatment time also depends on the depth and how many areas we are treating (i.e. face, neck, décolleté ).

How Many MLP Treatments Will I Need?
Excellent results can be obtained in just one treatment, and the number of treatments needed will vary depending on your current skin condition and desire to improve. Most clients achieve their goals after one to three treatments spaced 4 weeks apart based on your skin care needs and desires. What is the Recovery Time & Side Effects?
The Micro Laser peel was not very painful and when done superficially, requires 3-4 days of recovery time – on average. An MLP treatment social downtime can range from 1-7 days, depending on the depth of the Micro Laser Peel, we advise 1-7 days of social downtime (a light peel usually heals in 1-2 days, while a deep peel may take 5-7 days). Most Clients experience redness and peeling during the healing period, as well as mild to moderate swelling. You will look like you have a moderate sunburn for 24 to 48 hours, then followed by a mild skin flaking for a few more days. It’s also important to note that your skin will be particularly sensitive to UV rays, so you should avoid direct sunlight for a minimum of two weeks and only use a Natural sunscreen (something you should always be doing to protect your skin). Are There Side Effects with an MLP Treatment?
There may be some possible mild side effects following MLP treatment sessions, but these should resolve themselves very quickly, should they occur. Although rare, some clients can develop skin irritation after a laser treatment. This is similar to an urticarial (hive-like) reaction. It causes increased swelling, redness, and itch to the treated areas. A high-dose antihistamine is recommended for these types of reactions, and it generally helps to calm them down. If you experience severe side effects, pain, or any symptoms that do not improve within a week of your MLP treatment, you should call our Spa as we may need to provide additional treatment.

What Products Should I Use After My MLP Treatment?
